Starting Your Research Series (SYRS)

Finding similar results

The databases can also help you find what you need by letting you search for similar or related results. There are several ways you can find similar or related  results in databases.

You can:

  1. Click Find similar results
  2. Click on a related subject
  3. Look at an item’s citation list to see what other resources might be available

The Academic Search Complete database gives you the option to Find similar results on the left hand side when you click on an article’s title.

You can also look for related subjects to see other articles the database puts in this same category.

Lastly, books and articles often include a list of citations. Some of these may be relevant to your search as well. You can find these by opening an item’s full-text, and scrolling to the end to see citations.
