Overall Strategy:

  1. Locate an initial news article.
    • Find an article connected to the topic of migration or mobility within Africa in the past year.
    • Use a library database or the free web.
    • Use database functionality, such as Location or Source filters, to narrow to Western and/or African presses.
  2. Prepare to find a similar news article from a different press perspective.
    • Extract specific keywords from that article for your next search!
    • Take note of the publication date and/or the time period of the event.
    • Ensure that this is from a Western or African press.
  3. Locate a second news article.
    • Revisit a library database or the free web.
    • Use keywords from the first article you've found to create a search.
    • Use database functionality, such as Location or Source filters, to narrow to Western and/or African presses.
    • Review/skim articles to locate one that is discussing the same content as the first article you retrieved.
