Research is a Process (Infographic)

Research is an iterative process. Instead of straightforward and linear, it is repetitive and cyclical. As you move through the steps to learn, you should modify and revise your strategies. Don't be afraid to return to an earlier step to reset your process!Research is a Process infographic; follow the long description link for a web accessible version

Cantos de trabajo de Los Llanos de Colombia y Venezuela

This guide has been built for Bristin Scalzo Jones' LAEP students in AY 2023-24 who are engaged in research on the topic of Cantos de arreo y ordeño (work songs related to herding and milking) in Venezuela, which UNESCO has designated as "intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding." The geographic region known as 'Los Llanos' extends across the Venezuela and Colombia.

Here is an example of one of the songs from a Library subscription database. You must be on the campus network or connected through the VPN to listen!

Track 10. Canto de Ordeño (05:20)

por De Boca en Boca (Acqua Records, 2003)
