Student Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify the traits of reliable information
  • Use search strategies for the open web, including evaluating sources and finding various media formats (i.e., recorded interviews, diaries, photos, etc)
  • Find reliable information outside of social media
  • Distinguish between primary and secondary sources
  • Find news sources through the Library (e.g. digitized small community newspapers)
  • Find and access books and other materials
