Using Box for Storage

  1. Download and install Box sync.
  2. Review the third bullet point here https://graduateinstitute.libanswers.com/faq/267439 to get the zotfile add-on.
  3. Download it, https://zotfile.com/index.html#changelog 
  4. Install it with these instructions https://zotfile.com/#how-to-install--set-up-zotfile then
  5. Change the data directory location https://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/advanced#linked_attachment_base_directory

Be sure to: 

  • Periodically back up your files and export your library just in case something does get messed up with Box storage. Please review the “Restoring Your Zotero Data From a Backup” so that you’ll know what to do if something goes wrong. https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data
