Sociology 15: Sociological Research Methods (Polonijo)

Dear Sociology 15 students, 

Hello! I'm Bronwen Maxson, one of the Instruction & Research Librarians at UC Merced. On Thursday 9/7, I'll join your class to provide a research strategy workshop to help prepare you for your Soc 15 projects. 

Please do the following before or after the library session:

• Set up the VPN (if you haven't already.)
  • See UC Merced VPN Installation Instructions (all devices) for instructions; problems with installing or connecting? Contact OIT.
• Complete the Sociological Abstracts tutorial [OPTIONAL] on the Step 3 page.
  • You will need to be connected to the VPN in order to complete the tutorial.
  • The last step of the tutorial will prompt you to enter your information; I will forward the completion log to your professor. 
• View the Using Citation Trails to Find MORE Resources video on the Step 3 page.

We will begin the library workshop with a review of the information presented in the tutorial and video. Hope everyone's semester is off to a good start!
