OVERVIEW: Bibliographic citation managers

A bibliographic citation manager is a tool for organizing citations to research materials, assembling bibliographies easily and without difficulty, and adding in-text citations to papers and written assignments. While it's not required for this class or for most others, a citation manager can take a lot of pain and effort out of citing your sources.

Citing your sources is crucial in all circumstances. Proper citation formatting will help you avoid plagiarism, allow the reader of your work to examine the sources of your assertions, and give credit to the person or persons who created the ideas on which your paper or assignment is based.
