Africa is the second-largest continent on Earth, the total landmass covering about one-fifth of the total land surface of Earth.  As a result, there are over 1.369 billion people spread across 54+ countries with varied histories, geography, and cultures. To be able to dive into the diversity and rich history of the African Continent.  Here is the United Nations’ geoscheme, which divides Africa into 5 different subregions to help differentiate between the regions. They are the following:
  • Northern Africa
  • Western Africa
  • Eastern Africa
  • Central Africa
  • Southern Africa
