Locating Primary Source Collections

#2 via Library Subscription Databases

Pair your location with terminology that may refer to repositories with primary sources (digital collection, archive) OR to the source type (song, poem, diary).

Sample Terminology: archive, collection, digital collection, library, special collection, transcript, oral history, papers, political cartoon etc.

 

 

 

You may wish to limit to :.org or :.edu sites.

Visit UC Merced Library's list of databases. 

Options:

  • Narrow by database type e.g. Audio, Newspapers, Primary Sources etc.
  • Search in the databases.
  • Read database summaries.
