This session will focus on how to best leverage Google Scholar, an easy-to-use tool to help you quickly find scholarly articles on a variety of topics. It can also connect with the UC Merced Library’s online collections.
Lindsay will cover the pros and cons of Google Scholar and helpful features, such as how to save articles to your personal library and set up email alerts for new articles related to your research interests.
"Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites" ("About Google Scholar").
Search Google Scholar to access many journal articles made available to you by the UC Merced Library.
