Science Writing in the Natural Sciences


By the end of our library session you will be able to ...

  • differentiate between the characteristics and purpose of the various types of content found in scientific databases. 
  • identify and use relevant databases to search scientific literature.
  • use database functionality, e.g. limiters (date, article type), sorting etc. to locate articles pertaining to a body of research.
  • recognize the benefits of using citation management tools, such as RefWorks, to create bibliographies, organize and annotate your references.

These skills will assist you in completing your Annotated Bibliography, Research Review and Letter of Intent.
