  • Download the VPN to your computer or other web-enabled device, so you can have access to library databases off-campus. (See Accessing Information. VPN questions? Contact OIT Help.)
  • View the Article Networks in Google Scholar Video (under 2 minutes)
  • Complete the 4 question survey below the video. The survey is anonymous.
  • Complete the 2 tutorials on the Tutorials tab of this guide.

 

Learning Outcomes

To assist you with locating sources to support your proposal and literature review, today we will

  • craft successful searches using keywords and subject headings to retrieve relevant information
  • use database functionality to limit results to a targeted list of resources (e.g. filters and limiters) 
  • work from complete and incomplete citations to track down and access the full text of an article
