CREDO Reference is a collection of online reference books. 

  • The CREDO Reference collection includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, and handbooks across a variety of subjects.
  • Search over 1,000 book titles with 3 million+ full-text articles.
  • It is an excellent resource for locating background information to start your research. 
  • Additional features include topic pages, images, and a Mind map for related topics.
  • Citations are available in APA, Chicago, Harvard and MLA formats.
  • Permalinks are available for all entries/articles.
  • Think of CREDO Reference as an academic version of Wikipedia.

Look for Disciplinary Information

Step 1: Search in CREDO Reference. Sample Phrase Search "development psychology".

 

Step 2: On the results lists, skim available Articles. In this search tool, articles are definitions, essays, and book articles (NOT scholarly articles)

3. Limit your search results by using filters located across the top of the page.  Filters may include Subject and Length.

4. Click on an Article title, to view a source.

5. Scroll to the bottom of the Article to retrieve an APA citation which will include a permanent hyperlink. This option is also available under Citation at the top of the Article.
