Dear Sociology 15 students, 

I'm Elizabeth Salmon, Research Services Librarian here at UC Merced. On Monday 2/8, I'll join your class to provide an overview of research techniques and resources to support your Soc 15 projects. 

Before February 8th:

  1. watch the 2 videos below.
  2. set up the VPN (if you haven't already.)
  3. confirm that you can connect to the campus network through the Virtual Private Network (VPN.) Connecting to the VPN will allow you to access Library subscription resources from off-campus. Click UC Merced VPN Installation Instructions (all devices) for instructions; problems with installing or connecting? Contact OIT.
