Let's do a brief searching exercise in PsycINFO. First, open the Google spreadsheet.

  • Enter your name in Column A and your research question or topic in Column B.
  • Choose your keywords from your research question and enter them in Column C. You could also enter some related terms in Column D.
  • Use the Thesaurus in PsycINFO to find the subject headings for your keywords. Enter the subject headings in Column E.
  • Find an article related to your research question in PsycINFO. Cut and paste the article citation in APA format to the spreadsheet, using the "Cite" function in PsycINFO.
