Access Library Resources from Off Campus

The VPN allows you to connect to the library's online articles and ebooks from off campus.  Set up this connection on your computer and then easily log in with your UCMnetID and password.

Being on the campus network also ensures that you have access to UC-eLinks from Google Scholar.  Look for the More button under a citation in Google Scholar to reveal the UC-eLinks hyperlink.

DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

Using a DOI to Locate an Article

An article may be accessible through a DOI.

Example: 10.1016/j.scitotenv.2005.05.031

To locate ...

1) paste the DOI into the box located on this page OR

2) place in this prefix before the DOI: http://dx.doi.org/ e.g. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2005.05.031 to create a URL.

If we do not have it full-text in our collection, you will have an option to Request the item through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at no cost to you.
