Streaming Video Access & Support

This guide highlights frequently used streaming video sources and available support for instructional use.

Kaltura Streaming Platform

Kaltura is a cloud-based video management system within CatCourses that allows faculty and students to easily view, record, manage, edit, transcode and deliver high-quality video.

Once Kaltura is enabled in CatCourses, Instructors can upload content or the Library can assist with digitizing course material through the Course Resources service.

Course Resources Service

The Library can make AV materials, including eligible DVDs, available in Kaltura through our Course Resources service.

AV items may include Library owned items. The Library may be able to assist in obtaining items not currently owned; select Library to supply when submitting your request.

In order for the Library to post AV content, instructors must enable the Kaltura Media Gallery within their CatCourses site.

Use the Course Resources tool in CatCourses to request digitization and posting of materials. See instructions for:

Submit your requests as far in advance as possible. The Library processes requests in the order they are received.
