Health Communication

Libraries are for Everyone

About Me

My name is Lindsay, Instruction and Outreach Librarian. I'm also the library liaison for several subject areas, including public health and Spanish. I spend most of my time lesson planning; designing learning materials; teaching research skills and information literacy; helping students, staff, and faculty with their research needs; and serving on various committees on campus, UC, and in my field.

Learning Outcomes

By participating in this lesson, you will learn how to:

  • select search tools to find scholarly health-related information
  • use limiters to find review and original (empirical) articles

Hi Public Health 103 students,

I'm looking forward to our short session next Wednesday. Please bring a laptop to class if you have one and have this guide ready to go; more will be on it next week. There are also a few things I'd like for you to do in advance of our class.

We will be doing a "quiz" at the beginning of class about original/review articles and an activity related to finding these types of articles, so it's important to know the difference. You will also fill out a short survey at the end of class.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you next week!
