Wi-fi in the Library

Wireless internet is available throughout the library. For a wired connection, you can also check out ethernet cables from the front desk.

Library Hours

During the fall and spring semesters, we are open until midnight Sunday through Thursday. For full hours and exceptions, visit our Hours page.

Reserve a Study Room

Need to study with a group? Reserve a collaborative work room using our online room reservation system.

Access Library Materials from Off Campus

The VPN allows you to connect to the library’s online resources from off campus.

Get Help with Research

There are many ways to get in contact with a librarian, including in-person appointments and 24/7 online chat. Or talk with one of our roving reference student assistants who have been specially trained to help you with library research.

Request Items from Other Libraries

If you find a book, article, or other item that is not owned at UC Merced, request it! Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service that allows you to borrow items from other libraries via UC Merced.

Printing in the Library

Printing is available in the library. Pay using your CatCard flex account or purchase a print card from the machine near the 2nd floor services desk.

To take the tour, check out an iPod at the 2nd floor services desk or download the tour to your own device.
