Learning Outcomes

Following library orientation instruction, teaching assistants will:

  • be able to identify resources (e.g. search tools & collections) for their specific area of research.
  • understand how to access resources through services such as UC-eLinks, Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and the Virtual Private Network (VPN).
  • recognize library services available to assist with research questions and citation management, e.g. RefWorks, 24/7 chat services, and research consultations.
  • understand how knowledge of the library can be used to answer common student questions and provide support for students' academic needs.
