Style by Discipline

Chicago style is usually used in the Humanities, History, and other fields. It allows for two systems: notes (endnotes or footnotes) with bibliography OR parenthetical citations (author / date) with a reference list.

Turabian style is a simplified / adapted version of Chicago style with some modifications for the needs of student writers.
